History

The Paris Metro Line has 16 metro lines. This project focuses on metro line 4, Port de Clignancourt to Maririe de Montrouge. This metro line is filled with rich history and culture that attracts many people. It  was the first metro line to connect the right and left banks of Paris by being completely underground. The right side of the bank comprises of a business and shopping district, while the left bank , which is the other side of the seine, the left bank consists of the more cultural aspect of Paris. It was first opened in 1908, therefore this metro line has been opened for 100 years. Throughout the years it has gone through several additions, with its last addition being on March 23, 2013, to finally be what it is today. There was a time in which the metro line had the oldest cars running. The metro line has a deep rich history in its roots, connecting different people from around the world to be able to travel up and down the line to experience religion, different ethnicity groups, historical landmarks, and see the booming youth generation.
