Cite

This stop is in the Ile de la Cite. This island is what separates the right and left bank. This stop is a close walk to the Latin quarter and also a very busy and very touristy area due to the number of monuments in the area. This station was opened in 1910, it gives many people easy transportation to go visit the Notre Dame, the Palace of Justice, the Concierge, and also Saint-Chapelle. With the Notre Dame still going through construction, most spectators stand in front of the building and look at its amazing beauty. With all these beautiful monuments in the area, there are a good number of restaurants and bars in the area. There are also numerous gift shops in the areas.

- Secret gem: In Cite, there are the bouquiniste stores by the bridge crossing the Seine. Bouquiniste have a very rich history in Paris, by selling secondhand books that were deemed illegal to read in France. Now, you can still buy books from bouqiniste and even other items, such as paintings or other handcrafted items. They are a symbol of Paris’s history and a heritage to their culture.
